AGT has standing committees for Education, Membership, Public Relations, and Annual Meeting planning. In addition, we are always looking for volunteers to assist with task force activities. Join this group of amazing directors and volunteers for this year!

AGT Memberships: AGT will kick off its 2026 membership drive next month. Review our options and find the option that best suits your needs for the upcoming year.

Join or renew your personal membership at the level that is appropriate for your genetics career phase.

Regular member

I am a genetics professional wanting full association benefits.

Student member

I am a student pursing a course of study in genetics at an educational institution. 

Collaborative member

I am a health-related professional holding a membership with another association and interested in genetics.

Emeritus member

I have retired and interested in staying  current in genetic topics.

Do you work in a lab with five or more members interested in AGT membership? An institutional package can save you money on membership fees. The larger the group, the more you save.

Gather your group or share with management and join or renew on as an institutional package. Institutional member institutions also receive recognition on our website and at our annual business meeting.

Regular member - small groups

I have a group of 5 to 19 co-workers and want to save on membership dues while receiving full membership benefits for the year.

Regular member -  large groups

I have a group of 20 or more co-workers and want to save on membership dues while receiving full membership benefits for the year.

Student member groups

I am part of an educational group and would like to receive a discounted membership rate at the student level for my class.

AGT is excited to support genetic professionals across the globe. Are you a member and potential member residing outside the United States? For 2026, AGT continues to offer discounts for members residing in middle and lower income countries.

3-CE credits per issue included with AGT membership.

Submission Deadline: August 30, 2025

As a reminder, all members receive free access to JAGT issues. These issues are now located within the Member Area of the website.

Members: Each JAGT issue also contains a Test Your continuing education offering, free to members. Upon successful completion you will receive 3.0 CE
hours.

Non-members: The Test Yourself opportunity is available for a fee of $30. Non-members must initially register as “prospective members" here to gain access to the learning modules. There is no fee for this process. Once you have set up your profile as a prospective member you can follow the access link provided above for members or click here to pay your fee and continue on to the Test Yourself offering.
